Liberty County Victim Input Form

This form is a way for the victim of a crime to notify the State Attorney’s office about your views regarding the defendant’s release from custody pending trial. The information you provide will be shared with the Judge during the First Appearance hearing which occurs within 24 hours of a defendant’s arrest. Simply click on the county where the crime occurred, complete the form, and submit.

There is also a way you can dial into the First Appearance hearings to speak directly to the judge if you wish. In Leon County, First Appearance hearings begin at 11:00 on weekdays. The outlying counties have different start times during the week. We all have varying start times during weekends and holidays. Please call your county State Attorney’s office and ask to speak with a Victim Advocate for more information. On the weekends, please note your request to call in on the Input form.

It is important to note that any request to drop the charges will NOT be considered on this form. You must contact the State Attorney’s office to schedule a time to meet with the assigned Assistant State Attorney and/ or Victim Advocate on your case.

If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity. Instead, just contact our office by phone and speak to a Victim Advocate. After the First Appearance hearing, you will be mailed additional information regarding a request to keep your contact information confidential under Marsy’s Law.
